I have worked in mental health for more than 20 years in various inpatient settings, including general psychiatry, eating disorders and in a specialist service for obsessive compulsive and related disorders such as BDD and emetophobia. I originally trained as a mental health nurse and have specialised in CBT.
I pride myself in bringing warmth and compassion into sessions and greatly enjoy supporting people very closely in making behavioural changes to facilitate recovery. I take a very practical approach, with a strong emphasis on quality exposure and response prevention in real life situations in the community, patients homes or in the consulting room.
Outside of work I am a huge sci-fi and horror fan and an avid PS4 gamer. I am passionate about LGBTQ+ equality and inclusion.

Cognitive behaviour therapist, BABCP accredited
- Appointment types: Face to face and online
- Minimum age seen: 13
- Conditions treated: Obsessive Compulsive, Body Dysmorphic and related disorders; anxiety disorders; unipolar depression
- Session cost: £140
I am an accredited CBT therapist and have worked in Mental health for the past 12 years. I started my career as a mental health nurse and have worked in both inpatient and community settings.
In 2019 I transitioned from nursing into working in the field of CBT. I love that CBT can help people optimise their thinking and behaviour for better mental wellbeing. I enjoyed 3 years of working in an IAPT service in Essex from which I gained experience in working with, anxiety disorders, depression and PTSD. I have a particular passion for OCD and the related disorders, including health anxiety, which led me to joining the team here at Overcoming OCD in 2022.
Keeping the person at the centre of therapy is important to me and I am enthusiastic about helping people work towards their goals in a compassionate and sensitive manner. I am a strong believer that people hold more strength than they think they do. I see therapy sessions as teamwork and find that often with a bit of support and encouragement, people I work with can get to the point of coming up with their own solutions to their problems.
Outside of work I enjoy being outdoors, doing things such as my local parkrun, I love traveling too. I also really like comedy, theatre and good food!

- Conditions treated: Obsessive Compulsive, Body Dysmorphic and related disorders; anxiety disorders and PTSD; depression
- Language: English
- Session cost: £120
I am an accredited CBT therapist with over 7 years’ experience working within NHS and private sector mental health settings, including a specialist OCD and BDD inpatient service.
I follow a patient-centred approach and take pride in my ability to adapt treatment to meet the needs of the service user. My aim is to create a safe space where an individual can speak openly without fear of judgement.
I have experience working with complexity, particularly those with additional needs, such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD) which is commonly comorbid with anxiety related disorders. I get most satisfaction from finding creative and neuroaffirming ways to deliver therapeutic interventions, in order to minimise distress and maximise recovery. I believe in empowering people to become their own therapists, through psycho-education about health anxiety and tailored interventions.
In my free time, I am usually making something – whether that be baking, crafting or a mess!
